Research interest and academic specialization in airline management, airline labor relations & the Railway Labor Act, flight training and aviation education for K-12 students.

Master of Science degree in Education: General Studies and an Aviation minor completed in December 2011 from the University of North Dakota. Thesis research included the creation of a 6th-12th grade aviation outreach program, a study of course design methodology and review of literature related to aviation outreach and industry needs.

Personal interest in peace education and service learning, Nonprofit leadership experience as a member of CISV USA's Executive Committee and Board of Trustees as well as several other leadership experiences at the University of North Dakota.
